Hi, my name is Abhilash Nair. Being an island boy, I can say that there is no “best time” to visit Andaman because every season here has its own charm. Honestly, it’s always a great time to visit Andaman. I have divided the Andaman Islands into four simple seasons, so you can plan your trip more wisely and choose the experience that suits you best.
October to March → High Season Time (Best Overall Time)
Why it’s perfect:
- Clear blue skies
- Calm seas (best for ferry & water sports)
- Best visibility for scuba diving
- Cool, pleasant weather (25°C–30°C)
- Best sunsets in Havelock, Neil & Chidiyatapu
This Particular time is best for:-
✔ Honeymoon
✔ Family trips
✔ Water sports
✔ Island hopping
The crowd during this period is sometimes high and sometimes moderate, so it’s not as packed as the top peak season. You can usually find decent hotels and ferry tickets even with last-minute bookings or by planning just 15–20 days in advance. Prices also stay moderate compared to the high peak season, making it a more comfortable time to travel.

15th December to 15th January – high peak season time
15th December to 15th January is considered the highest peak season in Andaman. Hotel prices go very high, and most good properties get booked out quickly. This is the time when the islands often run out of rooms and ferry seats because the number of tourists is much higher than usual.
If you plan to travel during high peak season, it’s wise to book your hotels, ferries, and flights at least 2–3 months in advance. Early planning ensures you get confirmed bookings without stress. Travellers who book at the last minute usually face difficulty finding rooms or tickets that fit their budget, which is why advance booking makes your trip much easier.

April to May → Summer Season (Still Good)
It feels slightly hotter during these months, yet the climate is comfortable enough for a great trip.
Why people choose summer:
- Water sports stay open
- Good scuba diving visibility
- Fewer crowds than peak season
- Packages are slightly cheaper
April and May are actually among the best months to visit Andaman. The weather stays ideal for enjoying beaches, water sports, and outdoor activities. Temperatures usually range between 29°C and 33°C, and although the humidity can feel slightly warm, it doesn’t disturb the overall travel experience.
One of the biggest advantages of visiting during these months is the availability of excellent hotel deals. Many resorts offer attractive discounts, making it easy to plan a complete Andaman trip at a very affordable price. For travellers looking for good weather, fewer crowds, and budget-friendly packages, April and May are a perfect choice

June to September → Monsoon (One of my favourites)
This is the monsoon season in the Andaman. You may experience a bit of rough weather during ferry rides. But if your idea of a holiday is relaxing in a beautiful resort with a private beach, a swimming pool, and cozy rooms — all at a very affordable price, then this season can actually be a great choice.
During the off-season, it’s not like everything shuts down — you can still enjoy scuba diving and a few other water activities. And the rain in Andaman is never continuous for 2–3 days straight. It usually comes in intervals — maybe one day it rains, then the next day it’s sunny, or sometimes just 1–2 showers in a week. The weather is unpredictable, but that’s what makes it magical and unique.
Best time to enjoy pure nature
The islands become calmer, greener, and more peaceful. You can truly enjoy nature without crowds around you. In Havelock and Neil Island, renting a 2-wheeler makes your trip super smooth. You can stop anywhere, enjoy the views, and travel freely without depending on anyone.
